Even during our current status of spending more time at home and social distancing with others our Sibley/Campbell Family members are sharing AWESOME family recipes. Ernie "Tiney" Sibley-Sims is our contributor this month sharing her delicious recipe for her "Light & Fluffy" Strawberry Dessert.

"Tiney's Light & Fluffy Strawberry Dessert"


A Southern Dessert Straight From The Capital...


1 box of Vanilla Wafers (whole or crumbled)

1 cup of sugar

1 stick of butter or margarine

1 large egg

1 pint of strawberries (fresh or frozen)

9 ounces of cool whip cream

1/2 cup of chopped nuts (pecans) if desired



Line bottom and sides of serving dish with vanilla wafers. Melt butter i pot on stove, medium heat. Turn off stove. Place egg in butter, mix until blended. Add sugar to mix then sliced strawberries and chopped nuts (if desired) Add cool whip and continue to mix. Once completed place a layer of the strawberry whipped mixture in serving dish. Continue to alternate layers of vanilla wafers and strawberry whipped mixture completed on top of sprinkled with chopped nuts. Preparation 30 minutes. 8 servings.
