Our Grandparents taught our parents, who taught us delicious recipes to share and pass down to our children and grandchildren for many years to come. Christi Pinkney is the contributor for the month sharing her recipe for"Christi's Scrump-Delicious Banana Pudding" A favorite request during our family gatherings.

"Christi's Scrump-Delicious Banana Pudding"
1 cup of sugar
3 cups cold milk
5 eggs separated
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup of flour
A dash of salt
1 box of Nilla wafers
7 bananas sliced
Mix the flour, 3/4th cup of sugar and dash of salt in a double boiler. Add egg yolks, vanilla and milk. Stir constantly until it thickens. Place wafers to bottom of a baking dish and cut bananas over the wafers. Make 3 to 4 layers of wafers and banana. Pour pudding baking dish onto wafers and bananas. For the topping: Add the remaining sugar to the egg whites, use a mixer to mix until its fluffy. Pour on top of pudding, bake until egg white is brown. Chill in the refrigerator for 25minutes. Preparation 45minutes. Makes 8 - 10 servings.
